Moon Drunk (Lyrics in 90's Rock)

Intro:

Was driving alone

On an interstate

Met a forest line

At the night so late

The dwindling light

Was turning slate,

The dwindling light

Was turning slate…

Chorus:

The night was falling fast,

Getting dark and deep

In my nights of life

I was falling asleep,

With the promise of light

Falling heavy and hard

For all my dreams to keep…

For all my dreams to keep…

Verse 1:

I was travelling east

Through the woods of lies;

Was moving fast

With my dreaming eyes.

For my autumn hopes

For a fragile nest,

But I was needing some rest…

But I was needing some rest…

Chorus:

The night was falling fast,

Getting dark and deep

In my nights of life

I was falling asleep,

With the promise of light

Falling heavy and hard

For all my dreams to keep…

For all my dreams to keep…

Verse 2:

And I took an unknown turn

At the end of green

Met a lunar lawn

In a maddening moon,

With my poetic moon

And my thousand lies

Like the melting ice,

Fading off soon.

Verse 3:

And I stopped my car

To not to chase

My lucid dreams.

I stopped my car.

With my lucid dreams

Going far and far.

And I got stuck by

As the moon sets high

Over the large long trees,

With its magical charm

And the glimmering glows

Are no more on a leash,

No more on a leash…

Chorus:

The night was falling fast,

Getting dark and deep

In my nights of life

I was falling asleep,

With the promise of light

Falling heavy and hard

For all my dreams to keep…

For all my dreams to keep…

Outro:

And I woke up moon drunk

On the very next dawn

On the lovely autumn morn

With all my pains gone sunk…

Derailed Dawn (Lyrics)

The night is deep

And the music’s slow

The moon rising high,

Is all-set to glow.

And I can feel my moon

Close to my gloomy sky,

For some clouds unknown

I can’t see her passing by…

The lawn looks lighted

In the lonely lunar night

With the sighs of dews

In this early winter night

Stars are on earth

With their charming glow

Dancing with the flying fireflies

In a magical flow…

And I can feel you, my moon

I can feel you,

Close to my gloomy sky.

I can feel you, my moon

With my shuttered eyes

I can feel you passing by…

I can feel you going off my sky…

For some clouds unknown

I can’t see you, my moon.

I can’t see you my moon

With my sleepless eyes;

But I feel you passing by,

I feel you passing by

In this night so deep

With dreams flying high…

I feel you passing by…

And all I feel is the winter rain

All I feel is the grueling pain,

Flowing deep my heart,

Till the night is gone;

Flowing deep my heart,

For a derailed dawn…

And I can feel you, my moon

I can feel you,

Close to my gloomy sky.

I can feel you, my moon

With my shuttered eyes

I can feel you passing by…

I can feel you going off my sky…

And I just wonder

If you are really there

And my heart wanna know.

With the beats running so slow

If you are really there

Out of the verses of a lunar dreamer;

Or from another universe…

Visiting the sky of a lonely moon rider…
