Waiting for the Rain

It was a sad gloomy day

With the monsoon breeze

Flying in from the Himalayas.

The darkening waves of clouds,

Shrouding the day light, was just

Flowing in the glimmering sorrows.

Sweating on in humidity high

Under the darkening cloud

I was all alone with a frozen sigh.

In the furies of magical chimes,

I had to keep my hopes lay idle

Under a leafless tree

Full of grayish branches,

With my sight up above

The unhappy sky

In search of raindrops…

Like a crow in a desert

Flying relentless

For a hundred years…
